The color tools (Levels, Curves, Threshold...) memorize all settings used. Over time these accumulate, slowing down tool startup, and making it more difficult to reach the explicitly saved settings, which appear at the bottom of the list.

The settings-cleaner script will run automatically at each Gimp startup and do some housekeeping on these files, directed by a short configuration file, keeping at most a specified number of settings not older than a specified number of days. Settings that have been explicitly saved with a name are of course left in.

Hallo,

ich suche eine Möglichkeit GIMP über ein zweites, alternative Desktop-Icon, mit solchen Parametern zu starten, dass es deutlich schneller startet. Denn manchmal braucht man ja alle Funktionen, manchmal möchte man aber einfach nur die Grundfunktionen haben, und dann ist der relativ langsame Start (Win 8, 64bit, 6GB RAM, i5 = ca. 15 Sekunden) suboptimal.

Ich habe die Parameter

-f, --no-fonts
-d, --no-data

gefunden. Gefühlt sucht Gimp beim Start jedoch vor allem in den Bereichen "Script-Engine" und "Plugins".
Kann man diese beiden Bereiche irgendwie komplett abschalten (über einen alternativen Startparameter) ?

ich habe gesehen, dass User richtige kleine Städte mit Häusern und Gebäuden in Gimp erstellen, da staune ich ! Ich habe eine Zeichnung (isometrische Draufsicht) einer mittelalterlichen Stadt eingescannt; die Kirche möchte ich gerne "etwas verdrehen", also dass man sie aus einem etwas anderen Blickwinkel sieht.
a) ist das generell möglich ?
b) wie geht das bzw. wo kann man nachschauen wie das geht ?
c) kann man in GIMP auch mit Maßangaben was machen ? (z.B. die Länge von Linien vorgeben ?)

Ist mir noch was eingefallen:
d) kann man sich - vielleicht mit einem Raster ? - eine Grundfläche erstellen, auf der man dann Linien zu Wänden o. ä. aufbaut und darüber ein weiteres erhöhtes Raster legen, damit die nach oben fortlaufenden Perspektiven stimmen ? Wo kann man sowas nachsehen wenn es geht ?

Habe dazu gestern schon mal was gefragt, aber meine Frage vielleicht "zu blöd" gestellt. Den geraden Strich habe ich rausgekriegt (Aufwärts Taste mit Anfangs und Endpunkt) , aber nicht, wie man eine geschlängelte Linie zieht (die nicht zittrig ist sondern sich selbst glättet oder wie man das nennt. Geht das ?

Ich bin dabei, individuelle Bootscreens (aka "Bootskins") für Windows XP zu bauen. Diese müssen 640x480px groß, mit 16 Farben indiziert und im .bmp-Format exportiert sein.

Für unanimierte Bilder soweit kein Problem, aber wenn dann noch dieser laufende Balken als zweite Grafik dazu kommen soll, gibt es immer Falschfarben, selbst wenn die Balken-Grafik dieselbe Farbpalette hat (obwohl alles in der Vorschau von "Bootskin XP" funktioniert)!

Irgendwie scheint das damit zu tun zu haben, dass sich der "slot #0" dauerhaft nicht auf Schwarz (hex. #000) festlegen lässt, auch wenn man die Farben im Paletten-Editor ändern und speichern kann; natürlich nur möglich, wenn man die indizierte von Gimp automatisch generierte (also quasi "im Cache" vorhandene von Bild Nr. #blah) Palette vorher dupliziert.

Aber selbst wenn ich nun die Vorlagen-Grafik mit der neu-geordneten Palette in Gimp öffne, wird wieder die/eine ungeordnete Palette angezeigt (die ja nicht direkt verändert werden kann). Nach einem erneutem Exportieren werden so wieder Falschfarben produziert.

Wie kann man nun die Farbe von "slot #0" forciert auf Schwarz (oder generell) festlegen, damit sie auch "im Cache" so bliebt -- oder: wie kann man eben die Farb-Reihenfolge einer Palette dauerhaft festlegen? Schwarz als "Master Color" ist deswegen nötig, da diese Laufbalken-Grafik beim Booten sonst Falschfarben produziert.

Zum generellen Vorgehen siehe auch das BootSkin-Tutorium, das auf Photoshop basiert. Was ich bei Gimp vermisse, ist eine Funktion wie "Forced" in "Step 8."

Hallo, Ich habe ein sehr frustrierendes Problem (Gimp 2.8, Linux): Ich will einen Text in einer Ebene mit einem anderen Text überschreiben. Dazu will ich zunächst die Hintergrundfarbe in die Auswahl füllen und dann den neuen Text eingeben. Wenn ich nun die Auswahl zu füllen versuche, bekomme ich das Symbol, das dem "No-Entry"-Symbol (verkehrtes Einbahnsymbol auf Einbahnstraßen) ähnelt. Mir ist bewußt, dass ich irgend etwas ganz banales falsch mache, aber --- was kann das sein? Danke für Eure Hilfe...:confused:

a) ziehe ich eine ganz normale schwarze oder farbige Linie (Strich) von A nach B ?
b) zeichne ich eine "gewellte" oder Kurvenlinie, allerdings sollen die Wellen "geglättet" also weich angepasst werden.

PS: ich möchte auf die Zeichnung eines Gebäudes (Kirchturm) eine 2te Ebene legen und auf dieser 2ten Ebene die Konturen (gerade Strichen, gekrümmte Linien) nachzeichnen bzw. um weitere Teile ergänzen. Geht das ?

Ich habe lang nach einem Fotodatenbankprogramm gesucht, das recht einfach ist und nur diese Aufgabe löst.

Endlich bin ich fündig geworden, keine Ahnung warum erst jetzt.:shock:

Ich kann jedem nur JPhotoTagger empfehlen der eine Foto Datenbank sucht. Neben einer Datenbank wird für jedes getäggte Foto eine XML datei angelegt.

Ist zwar etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig in der Nutzung...aber welches Datenbankprogramm ist das nicht? :cool:

Allerdings braucht das Programm Java.

ich habe vor einiger Zeit eine Serie über Blaue Planeten gemalt(wird klarer, wenn ich später Beispiele poste). Seit ein paar Wochen beschäftige ich mich intensiver mit Gimp und bin begeistert über die fantastischen Möglichkeiten dieser Software!
Jetzt hats mich angesprungen, meine Serie von den Blauen Planeten mit Gimp auf Computergrafik umzusetzen. Ein paar einfachere Bilder hab ich schon geschafft auch wenn die meisten verbesserungsbedürftig sind. Und ich hab dabei unglaublich viel über Gimp gelernt!

So, jetzt mein Anliegen: welche fortgeschrittenen Gimper haben Lust, mir bei der Umsetzung Schützenhilfe zu geben? Ich liefere die Bildideen, ihr die technischen Tricks.

Und sobald ich herausgefunden habe, wie man in diesem Forum Grafiken einfügt, gibts auch Bildchen.

Hallo zusammen,

für meine Hochzeitsfeier würde ich meiner Frau gerne eine Überraschung bereiten. Ich möchte ein Foto von ihr in die sechs Gummibären-Farben weiß, gelb, orange, hellrot, dunkelrot und grün zerlegen und das Bild mit Gummibären nachlegen.

Technisch gesprochen:
1.) Die Farbpalette wird auf 6 Farben reduziert.
2.) Die 6 Farben weiß, gelb, orange, hellrot, dunkelrot und grün werden manuell der Palette zugewiesen.
3.) Das Bild selbst wird skaliert und da Gummibären höher als breit sind, wäre ein zunächst auf quadratisch gestauchtes Bild gut, weil es dann im Endeffekt wieder auf ein Portrait rauskommt.
4.) Damit eine Farbe nicht dominiert, sollte jede Farbe in etwa gleich häufig vorkommen, wobei das kein Muss ist.

Ich stelle mir vor, z. B. 80 mal 80 Pixel zu wählen. Das wären dann 6.400 Gummibären, also eine Fläche von 0,92 x 1,68 Metern. Eventuell auch 100 x 100 Pixel, also 1,15 x 2,10 Meter. Das entspricht ca. 55 bzw. ca. 85 300-Gramm-Tüten.

Durch die Größe kommt das auf die Ferne hoffentlich gut raus, es hat dann ein bisschen was von Andy Warhol.
